Salt S pring Island Council of the C.W.L will meet on flexible Thursdays each month from September to June. The meetings start with the 9 am parish Mass followed by coffee and a social time. Following a brief business meeting there is a short spiritual program. Sometimes there is a speaker or a workshop on a topic of interest to our members.
Membership is open to any woman over the age of 16. Annual dues are $25.00, payable in December for the following calendar year.

Sunday Supper in the Park
Our council is involved with Sunday Supper in the Park, a community gathering serving anyone who would like a home cooked meal. During the winter months, the event is held in the United Church Hall at 4:00 p.m.
Country Grocer Receipts In the past year CWL has received $1394.73 from the Country Grocer tapes. With this money, they have given $600 to Sunday Supper in the Park, $500 to the school lunch program, $200 to Grandma's House and $62.75 for Senior's Teas. Thank you for bringing in your receipts and please continue to do so; the money goes right back into the community.
Our Lady of Grace Catholic Women’s League 2016-2017 C.W.L Events
C.W.L meetings will be held flexible Thursdays each month at 10 am in the church hall. Mass is at 9 am, followed by coffee and fellowship. Please mark your calendars for the upcoming C.W.L events.
Saturday, February 18, 2017 - Catholic Women's League meeting will follow the 9 am Mass Tuesday, February 14, 2017, 1:30 pm - Travelling Tea Party The ladies of the C.W.L. will be sharing some love with the residents in Lady Minto Extended Care Unit. All members of the parish are invited to come along. Please bring some goodies to share. December 8 - The CWL invites everyone to join them in celebrating the 9 am Mass and Advent Reflection with Bishop Gary Gordon. Please be advised that the 9 am Mass followed by Advent Reflection, with Bishop Gary Gordon, will proceed as scheduled for Thursday, December 8, 2016. The CWL Ladies luncheon has been relocated to Our Lady of Grace Church Hall. All women of the parish are invited to attend. Please bring a gift for the Salt Spring Transition House. November 9 - Mass for all members of the parish that died in 2016, followed by a meeting Traveling Tea Party - On Wednesday, Oct. 5th the ladies of the C.W.L are taking a traveling tea party to the residents of Green-woods. We are inviting all members of the parish to come along. Please bring a small plate of finger foods - such as crackers and cheese, fruit or baking. We will meet in the lobby at 2:30. If there is no parking at Greenwoods, parking is available across the road at the Legion. September 15th - Catholic Women's League Meeting All women of the parish are invited to attend the meeting following mass (9:30 am for this meeting only) on September 15th. Our Diocesan President, Maureen Ingram and Past President, Blanca Stead, will be attending to give us the "big picture" of what the C.W.L is. Their topic is "Maintenance or Mission”. If you have never attended a meeting and wondered what the mission of the CWL is, please join us for this informative session.
